MYSTERIOUS LOUD BOOMS HEARD IN FAIR LAWN, NEW JERSEY

Residents in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, heard loud booms this past week, the latest on Friday night.

One resident said the booms sounded like a cannon going off.

John Cosgrove, Mayor of Fair Lawn, said police have been searching for the source of the booms, but so far, they remain a mystery.

Loud boom sounds were heard by many residents in the Bakersfield, California area at approximately 3:30 AM on January 31, 2013, as their windows also shook.  A news station later reported that day that the Naval Air Weapons Station tested an explosive at China Lake at 5:00 AM.  The odd thing about that explanation is that the residents of Bakersfield heard the loud booms at 3:30 AM, some as early as about midnight, not 5:00 AM.  China Lake is also too far away for Bakersfield residents to hea...
